It’s time to take back the streets!
Cars have ruled the road for far too long. It’s high time to share.
NRG’s vision for a more healthy, interconnected, and accessible community is fundamentally dependent on the roadways that connect us to our parks, trails, neighbors, businesses, and public spaces.
Aptos is an incredible community, from redwoods to sea and everything in between. But it needs some serious improvements for pedestrians & cyclists, including safety accommodations, new designated routes, and public transit improvements.
As an unincorporated community, Aptos lacks the resources & strong leadership of neighboring urban areas. But there is no shortage of great people here, and we’re building a strong base of partners. With patience & persistence, we can transform this vision into reality!

Much of this could be included in the next phase of the Soquel Drive Improvement Project, but we aren’t likely to see this happen in the near term without addressing shortfalls in the County Budget…
